J. Jay & Barbara Belding


J. Jay and Barbara Belding both graduated from Trenton State College (now The College of New Jersey) in 1973, Jay holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Arts and Technology and a Masters in Special Education; Barbara holds a Bachelors and a Masters degree in Education. Following a brief teaching career Jay embarked on an entrepreneurial path which to date has included business ventures in homebuilding, cookies, candles, bagel chips, and contract packaging.

In 1977 he and his wife Barbara founded Associated Production Services, Inc.; a 501c(3) non-profit vocational training facility for developmentally disabled adults.  Today they train and employ 575 persons who are engaged in packaging tasks for a variety of national and international companies.

Together with a dedicated a staff of over 100 people they operate eight facilities in the Greater Delaware Valley, Pennsylvania; that specialize in packing pre-wrapped candies and other consumer goods.

Jay and Barbara are ruling elders at the Doylestown Presbyterian Church.  Jay currently serves on The Mission Committee.  Jay is as a member of the Board of Directors of The Heritage Conservancy in Doylestown and Barbara is the Treasurer of the Board of Directors of The Hunting Park Christian Academy.  Their son Jonathan is an orthopedic spine surgeon in Cleveland and their daughter Katherine is an actress living in New York City.

Jay and Barbara are proud grandparents of three grandchildren; ages 2 to 9 living in Cleveland.
